The sun is shining and the time for patio season in Fargo has arrived! Here are some local bars and restaurants that provide patios or rooftops, places to eat, drink, and soak up the sunshine.

Outdoor Patios in Fargo & Moorhead

701 Eateries

Their menu features Scandinavian and German inspired foods. Choices include lefse, hotdish, and Romegrott, made from scratch and using local ingredients. They have a four-season rooftop patio.

Bar Down

This hockey-themed sports bar and restaurant opened in 2020. Located in West Fargo in The Lights complex, they have a spacious patio and a fun, kid-friendly atmosphere.

Beer & Fish Company

This is a hidden gem in Robert’s Alley in Downtown Fargo known for their fresh fish and large menu. They provide casual dining and favorites include fish and chips, crab cakes, and an oyster bar. The outdoor patio is located in the alley.

Brew Bird

Known for their Tiki drinks and fried chicken, Brew Bird has a fun outdoor space on the edge of downtown Fargo. Try their chicken sandwich and dipping sauce options. And bonus, everything on their menu is gluten-free!

Brewtus’ Brickhouse, West Fargo and Moorheadpatios in fargo

With two locations in the area, they have wood-fired pizza, big portions, good service, and an extensive tap list. Both locations have patios for outdoor dining, with the patio in West Fargo being a good size. 

Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill

Woodfire cooking creates delicious rotisserie chicken at this casual dining restaurant. They also have tasty salads and a large selection of wine. Just off I-94 and 25th Street.

Fargo Billiards & Gastropub 

Pool tables, ping pong, foosball tables provide entertainment for the whole family at Billiards. In south Fargo, they offer outdoor dining and a bar area with three sand volleyball courts.

Granite City

Near the West Acres Mall, Granite City features a large patio area and is known for their large helpings, extensive menu, and on-site brewery.

Hooligan’s

Just off 32nd Avenue in West Fargo and featuring a spacious deck and patio. They serve up pizza and wings with friendly service in a fun atmosphere.

Legends

This sports bar and restaurant in Moorhead has a patio area with views of a local pond. Legends is known for its great burgers and potato options.

Lucky’s 13 Pub

This is a classic pub known for their burgers and comfort food. It’s located not too far from West Acres Mall with a patio area.

Paradiso

This local chain serves up free chips and Mexican food with a sizeable outdoor area, Paradiso is a good spot for large groups of people.

Porter Creek Hardwood Grill

This large patio with a firepit provides a nice atmosphere for outdoor dining. They serve modern American food, with their rotisserie chicken being a favorite.

Sol Ave Kitchen

Casual, globally inspired street food in Moorhead. Fresh and with a Midwest twist, and an outdoor seating area. They are located next door to Junkyard Brewing Company.

Spicy Pie West Fargo

Large outdoor area with a firepit and oversized chair for photo ops. This local chain serves up pizza, grinders, and drinks.

Rhombus Guys

Offering a large rooftop patio, Rhombus Guys serves up delicious, unique pizza options, and a good drink selection. Located in Downtown Fargo, their patio has a fun, vibrant atmosphere.

Tavern Grill

Known for their build your own burgers, salads, and pizzas, this location features a garage door that opens to a huge outdoor patio.

Wurst Bier Hall, West Fargo

A place with German flair, they offer local, seasonal, and regional beers and wines along with German favorites. Menu items include pretzels, sausages, currywurst, and kuchen. The West Fargo location has an outdoor patio area.

Wild Bill’s Sports Saloon

Just off I-94 and 45th Street in Fargo, this western-themed bar and restaurant outdoor patio comfort food and drinks, homemade cheese curds, breaded pickles, wings, and burgers and a game room for the kids with pinball, retro, and interactive games.
