Fargo Mom launched 6 months ago on January 22, 2020 with a team of over 30 local mom writers and a passion to connect moms in the Fargo-Moorhead community. To celebrate, the incredible team at West Acres put together a phenomenal launch party to pamper, treat, and celebrate our team!

The Fargo Mom writing team along with their mom friends were invited to drink, dine, and sample some fun products from local West Acres retailers

CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar was on hand with drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Our mamas devoured the sushi, chips and guacamole, bruschetta, cheese tray, and other yummy goodies. There was a little bit of everything to try!

Love Always Floral and Gathered Boutique Rentals & Events provided the beautiful decor, including flower centerpieces, hanging plants, and cozy furniture set perfectly for mingling. The photo booth was a hit and everyone got a picture with their best mama friend!

For some fun, there was a DIY bath bomb station from Real Good Bath & Body, oil sampling from Creative Kitchen, and taylily lettering was on on hand making custom journals for each Fargo Mom guest.

We can’t wait to plan our first Mom’s Night Out event for the community, and can’t wait to transition our online community into in-person events. One of our goals in launching Fargo Mom was to offer ways for moms to connect both online and offline, and once it’s safe to gather again we will be announcing our first in-person event!

All stores in West Acres are open and ready for shopping! Please see their website to find shopping hours, options for curbside pick-up, and special events like their farmers market. To stay up to date on everyday happenings, check them out on Facebook and Instagram!

Kathy Schommer is the Owner and Founder of Fargo Mom. She is a (nearly) lifelong North Dakotan, married to her college sweetheart, and has 3 rambunctious girls. Kathy is passionate about connecting moms, advocating for maternal mental health, and giving back to this wonderful community any way she can. She loves all things crafting, attempting to read books not related to parenting, and drinking hot coffee every chance she gets. When Kathy’s not attempting to work with her kids yelling in the background, you might find her at one of the local breweries or coffee bars in the area or attempting to find unique treasures at a local thrift store.
