Wondering what to do with the kids on the days school is out? Here are some fun options in our community for school’s day out camps in Fargo!
All-Day Kids Programs
Days: October 11, 18, 20, 21, 22; November 24 & 26; December 23 – 31 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The YMCA is open when school’s out! School Out Days take place at the Y’s School Age Learning Centers. Each day has activities to keep kids busy, helping kids to stay active and socialize. There will be interactive projects and themed activities every day. These events are for school-aged children, kindergarten to fifth grade and registration one week in advance is required. Days: October 21 & October 22, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Check out the Fall Into Fun! School’s Out Camp at Family Wellness for fun outside of school! Keep kids moving with activities like swimming in the pool, games in the gym, and art projects. This event is for ages 6 – 11 years old and registration is required.
Days: October 21 & 22, November 11, November 24, November 26, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. (with the option for care one hour before and one hour after)
School’s Out Camps taking place Court’s Plus and local parks provide an opportunity for kids to exercise and also be entertained. Participants will do team and individual sports, art projects, outdoor activities, have time on the indoor playground, and watch movies. Kids will play outside every day at camp, weather permitting, and registration is required 24 hours before the program start time.
Days: Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley offers programs on days school is not in session. They provide a safe, caring, and fun environment with the goal of helping kids to connect and learn. These all-day programs take place at the Boys & Girls Club at Midtown and the Boys & Girls Club at Rose Creek on days when there is no school. And participants should bring a sack lunch, but will be provided with breakfast, snack, and milk. Registration is required.
Days: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Located in West Fargo, this drop-in childcare provides fun for children ages six weeks to 13 years old. Dino Drop-In focuses on play based education and is a flexible and easy option for days that school is out. See their Facebook page for updates on current curriculum.
Club Kids Fargo
Days: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (with a 6:30 a.m. option by registration only)
This drop-in childcare center features special activities each month. It’s open for kids 12 weeks to 12 years old. Check out their website and Facebook page for more information on programming and rates.
Days: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Located on 25th Street in Fargo, Kids Kingdom offers drop-in childcare for kids from 18 months to 12 years. They provide a fun environment and keep kids entertained with art and games.
