New Year’s Eve in Fargo: Family-Friendly Events

Celebrating New Year’s Eve can look a bit different than when we were younger.

Rather than going out and staying up until the wee hours of the morning, some of us might even struggle to make it to midnight!

But ringing in the new year with the family is fun in its own right.

Here are some events in Fargo-Moorhead where you can bring the whole family and celebrate the new year with your nearest and dearest!

Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Events in Fargo-Moorhead

Family New Year’s Skate 

December 31, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This party at Skate City provides entertainment for the whole family! It features games and activities, a balloon drop, party favors, and door prizes! Admission is $6, plus the cost of skate rentals.

Fargo Force Hockey Game

December 31, 2021 from 6:05 – 9:00 p.m.

Come watch the last Fargo Force game of the year! They take on the Sioux Falls Stampede. Get tickets in advance on the Fargo Force website.

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza – CANCELLED

December 31, 2021 from 8:00 – 10:15 p.m.

Celebrate the new year at Broadway Square in downtown Fargo. This family-friendly event is free to the public. It will include skating, a showing of the movie It’s a Wonderful Life, and food available for purchase from vendors. Join the fun with this community celebration!

New Year’s Eve Glow Skate

December 31, 2021 from 9:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.

Ring in the New Year at The Lights Ice Rink! Head on out to the Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights for our New Years Eve Glow Skate. There will be a live DJ on stage, skate rentals available, and foam glow sticks. Countdown to 2022 at this fun family friendly event! 

Replay Games All Night New Year’s Bash!

December 31, 2021 – January 1, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

A lock-in event with seating limited to 25 players. All ages are welcome, but kids must be over the age of 12 to be unsupervised. Enjoy unlimited access to over 6,000 video games with pizza and snacks available.
