Cool Bird Creamery

3902 13th Avenue South (near West Acres Mall)

Coolbird Creamery is a locally-owned, super premium ice cream, yogurt and sorbet shop. They make your treat right in front of your eyes. NEW: Now serving cookie dough!

Culver’s

4615 13th Avenue Southwest (South Fargo)

Culver’s is known for their butter burgers, but also provides rich, frozen custard and a drive-thru for quick orders. They also serve shakes, malts, and floats! Click each store location above to see their hours and custard flavor of the day. 

Dairy Queen

With 11 locations for ice cream in Fargo and Moorhead, this classic chain has the usual soft-serve ice cream options along with their Buster Bars, Dilly Bars, and Blizzards. For an old-fashioned feel, check out the location at 24 South 8th Street in Moorhead for the walk-up window.

Duchessa Gelato

Ice Point Thai Ice Cream

This bakery serves cookies, brownies, ice cream, and ice cream sandwiches. Cookie delivery is offered along with to-go ice cream in pint and quarts. If you’re a night owl, they’re open until midnight! See their website for hours. 

Kone’s Kreamery

1650 45th Street South, Suite 120, (South Fargo)

Kone’s Kreamery sells homemade Italian ice cream, coffee, and boba milk teas. Check out their animal-shaped ice cream cones for the kiddos! See their Facebook page for hours and menu. 

Moorhead Freez

410 19th Street South (Moorhead)

In an original walk-up building, the Moorhead Freez has on-the-go meals and all kinds of frosty treats. For menu and hours, check their Facebook page

Northern Brain Freeze

Location varies, check their Facebook page for updates. 

A locally owned shaved ice food truck with over 20 flavors, including sugar-free options! They are often at the Family Fare in West Fargo, but can be found at other locations around town. 

Scoop N Dough Candy Co.

206 Roberts Alley (Downtown Fargo)

New location coming to South Fargo this Summer 2021!

Scoop-n-Dough is a fun walk-up ice cream stand in Roberts Alley downtown. They offer ice cream, cookie dough, and popcorn. Try the cookie dough milk shake! For store hours and menu, visit their website

The Silver Lining Creamery

123 Broadway North (Downtown Fargo)

The Silver Lining Creamery specializes in fresh, small batch, homemade ice cream and have a variety of flavors. Visit their Facebook page to see their hours and flavors each day.

Sonic

This old-fashioned drive-in also has a drive-thru. Some of their specialties are shakes, slushes, and frozen drinks like lemonade and limeades. Make it a fun family outing and enjoy your treat at the drive-in! For hours, check their website

Sweet Dream Confections

4101 13th Ave S #1000, Fargo

This locally-owned candy store makes THE best gelato. From creamy flavors to fruity sorbets, you’ll find a tasty treat here (plus maybe another sweet or two!). Flavors rotate regularly, so you can find something new on each visit. 

Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck

Locations vary, does travel around town. 

This fun ice cream truck can be seen up and down the streets in neighborhoods throughout the FM area! You can also schedule them for private events. 

Tea and Crepe

72 Broadway North (Downtown Fargo)

This cafe serves up Thai ice cream rolls. The ice cream is poured into a tray, cooled, frozen, and then scraped into rolls as you watch. It’s fun to watch AND delicious! Visit their Facebook page for hours and specials. 

Tropical Sno

This fun pop-up sno cone cart serves shaved ice snow cones in so many colors and flavors. It’s sure to be a kid favorite! Check their Facebook page for hours.
