Breastfeeding Support Groups
A public program through Cass County Public Health that offers text support, in-person classes, and other resources to support your breastfeeding journey as you return to work.
A supportive group for those wanting breastfeeding support after taking baby home. Visit with other moms or find a seat and enjoy the one-on-one time feeding your baby. A lactation consultant is available for specific questions and to review your baby’s weight gain/milk transfer. Held Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00 p.m. on the 6th Floor (Lactation/Pediatrics) at 1702 South University Drive in Fargo.
This group offers support for all aspects of breastfeeding for pregnant and new mothers. Offered on Mondays 9:00 a.m. – Noon; Wednesdays 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., and 3rd Wednesday of each month from, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fargo Cass Public Health (1240 25th St S).
LLLFM meets via Zoom on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Any person interested in learning about breastfeeding/chestfeeding is welcome. In-person meetings are currently on hold. Meeting information will be updated once they are resumed.
Hosts a monthly Postpartum Thrive Group to help women reclaim their power, joy, and health after baby. Please see her Facebook page for updates.
This class will help pregnant mothers become prepare for a successful and rewarding breastfeeding experience. Topics will include benefits of breastfeeding, initiating breastfeeding after the birth of your baby, and understanding feeding cues.
Offers a private 1-hour Breastfeeding Essentials class in your home.
Offers classes the first Tuesday, third Thursday, and fourth Monday of the month. Provides practical research-based information on breastfeeding for pregnant women. Topics include benefits of breastfeeding, positioning, pumping tools and support, breastmilk storage, and transitioning to a bottle.
